Outdoor Recreation
Clarksville was founded along the Cumberland River, and it's still the heart of the community today. Our 650 miles of navigable waterways (including the Cumberland and Red Rivers and their many branch creeks and streams) make water sports like boating, fishing, skiing, kayaking and canoeing top recreational activities. In fact, our relatively mild climate makes many outdoor activities like golf, hiking, rock climbing, hunting, road and trail biking popular and pleasant in all four distinctly beautiful seasons. Opt outside, we're the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature and each other.
