Join us September 12-16, for a Celebration and stay for Clarksville's Annual Welcome Home Veterans Parade 

Originally created to honor Vietnam Veterans, this is now a tribute by Vietnam Veterans to all American Heroes. This is a day for families, friends and all citizens to salute the service and sacrifices made by America’s Military. Join our special guests as every branch of the service is recognized – every man and women who served will be honored.

Today the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall and Remembering our Fallen exhibit arrive in Clarksville.  Join us for the procession through town and the Wall is delivered to Beachaven Winery. 

Weather permitting, the set up of the Field of Honor will take place allowing for people to come decorate their flag for their Hero.

After set up, there will be an opening dinner at Old Glory Distilling.  This will be a time of fellowship, followed by a film and panel discussion.  Mission BBQ will provide this free dinner.

8:30 am Hero Breakfast - Held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, this breakfast will pair JROTC cadets from the local high schools with veterans and active duty soldiers for a guided discussion and meal. 

American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall and Field of Honor® Remembering Our Fallen located at Beachaven Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane.

The American Veteran Traveling Tribute Wall is a 360 feet long and 80% the size of the wall in Washington DC.  The AVTT Wall will be open 24 hours a day beginning at 12:00pm Thursday, September 13th till 3:00pm on Sunday, September 16th. Special thanks to sponsors  Exit Reality, Screaming Eagle.  

Field of Honor® Tribute to Veterans is a display of flags sponsored in honor or in memory of veterans, first responders, family and friends.  These 3 foot by 5 foot flags will line the field behind the AVTT Wall.  It promises to be a beautiful and moving sight.  Sponsored by F & M Bank.

Additionally, the "Remembering Our Fallen" memorial will be at Beachaven Winery. Remembering Our Fallen is a photographic war memorial that honors our country’s military Fallen from The War on Terror (9/11/2001 - Present).  Unlike brick and mortar memorials, Remembering Our Fallen is designed to travel and includes both military and personal photos.  Its legacy will be that these men and women will be remembered and their names will be spoken, while helping to lessen the grief of their families. Sponsored by Sykes Funeral Home.

3:30 pm - Opening Ceremonies/Wreath Laying at the American Traveling Tribute Wall.  Skydivers, a Massing of the Colors, tributes and wreath laying to honor those names listed on the wall and on the Remembering Our Fallen exhibit.  

7:30 pm - Remembrance Ceremony.

Operation Stand Down Vet Fest 9:00 a.m.- Beachaven Winery

This is an annual event offering a variety of services to veterans. 

Valor Luncheon and Recognition 11:00 a.m. - Featured speaker, Edgar Harrell and Quilts of Valor will be presented at this catered meal held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 TN-48.  Tickets can be purchased here.  

Eternal Flame Ceremony 2:30 p.m.-  Public Square, Downtown Clarksville, honoring Veterans past and present.

Concert 7:00 p.m.Join us for a concert at our Downtown Commons

Remembering our Fallen- Beachaven Winery

Welcome Home Veterans Parade  10:00 a.m. - Our 3rd Annual Welcome Home Parade will take to the streets in Downtown Clarksville.  JROTC Cadets, marching bands, military vehicles and floats will gather to honor our veterans and say a very special Welcome Home.  Veterans can march or ride in the parade. 

Free Picnic-  11:30 a.m. Tilted Kilt will be providing a free picnic lunch immediately following the parade at the Downtown Commons.  After the picnic, enjoy Frolic on Franklin and the Downtown Market. 

Valor Run- Valor Run is a half marathon and 5k committed to honoring the courage and sacrifice of those in uniform. The community will be able to participate in this endurance event in honor, or memory, of an American hero.  Our Memorial Mile pays tribute to Fort Campbell soldiers and their families.  Join us at Beachaven Winery to run, walk or just show support!

Reception-  2:00 p.m.  Join us for a light reception at one of our local Veteran owned breweries.  TN Valley Brewing Company will host this get-together for a moment of relaxation and visiting friends.  https://www.tnvalleybrewing.com/ 

Concert 7:00 p.m.  Saturday night will be an exciting evening at Beachaven Winery as Lee Greenwood performs a free concert!

Venue Location: Ft Defiance Park, 20 Duncan St, Clarksville, TN 37042

Education and Remembrance: The Mt Olive Cemetery Historical Preservation Society will present a short briefing on the history of Mt Olive and America’s Civil War U.S. Colored Troops, highlighting the soldiers interred at Mt Olive here in Clarksville.   Following the briefing, visitors can explore the Ft Defiance Museum and Park.  The Society will be offering educational tours of Mt Olive Cemetery from 12:00pm until 5 pm on Sunday 16 September 2018.

Directions to Mt Olive: The Mt Olive Cemetery is located behind the Ephesus 7th Day Adventist Church at 931 Cumberland Drive in Clarksville.
