About

The Montgomery County Courthouse was erected in 1878-79 after a fire destroyed the courthouse built in 1843. In 1900, the courthouse was damaged by fire but was rebuilt. Restored and remodeled after a 1999 tornado, this architectural beauty is the symbol of Clarksville's historic downtown. The Courthouse and Courts Complex is a blend of state-of-the-art technology and historic charm. Adorning the corridors of both buildings are 150 photographs illustrating the history and heritage of Montgomery County.

This property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
