History and Heritage | Other
The Historic Collinsville pioneer settlement shows the story of life in rural Tennessee from 1830-1870. The authentic period furnishings and artifacts in 18 restored log homes and outbuildings chronicle life before and after the Civil War.
Scattered throughout the 40-acre grounds are picnic areas and walking trails. A wildlife center houses several examples of natural Tennessee flora and fauna.
Open Saturday 10a.m.-5p.m. and Sunday 1-5p.m. and by appointment for groups of 6 or more, Historic Collinsville's season runs May through October. Special events take place throughout the year, including a Spring Homecoming, Bluegrass summer music series, Fall Pilgrimage, and Candlelight Christmas. The 2019 Season opens April 20 with an Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Homecoming Celebration.
