Make Clarksville-Montgomery County Your Sports Destination

basketballTrack star Wilma Rudolph helped put Clarksville on the map with her triple gold medal performance in the 1960 Olypmics. Wilma’s fame was the catalyst for an explosion in recreation and leisure events in her hometown, which now attracts such events as the Tennessee Senior Games and the AAU Boys and Girls National Basketball Championships.

Youth Basketball

The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and Clarksville-Montgomery County have come together for over a decade bringing high quality national championships to the area. Junior athletes from around the nation travel to Clarksville-Montgomery County with the desire to win big.

Youth Baseball and Softball

Heritage Park and Civitan Park and the new Rich Ellen Park (open in 2014) can host multi-game tournaments and their spacious complexes, complete with lights, sound, and concessions.

Youth Soccer

Heritage Park can host up to 250 teams at their Soccer Complex. Past events include the Live 3v3 and Kick-it 3v3 youth regional tournaments. An on-site concession area and overhead lights make the complex available for day long events.

Water Sports

The multitude of waterways include lakes, rivers, and streams. Many teams have come for the well known bass and catfish supply. Recreational water sports include boating and tubing, and drag boat. To learn more about the recreational boating opportunities in the area connect with the Clarksville Friends of the Blueway on Facebook. Canoes, kayaks, and tubes are available to rent through Blueway Adventure, 931-320-8466.
