Clarksville, Tennessee’s unprecedented growth over recent years shows no signs of slowing in 2024. Private and public sectors continue to invest in projects and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents and create unique and memorable experiences for visitors.

Anticipated Projects

  • The Restaurant and Silo Park at Old Glory Distilling, at 451 Alfred Thun Rd., with menu items featuring on-site made spirits and a massive outdoor seating and entertainment area, will open this spring.
  • 156-room Doubletree Hotel will open downtown this summer. Construction of a new retail and restaurant complex, Riverview Square, is expected to follow immediately after the hotel opening. Doubletree is renovating the former Riverview Inn at 50 College St., which closed in March 2020.
  • Construction will begin on a new 112-room Holiday Inn Express beside the full-service Holiday Inn on Cracker Barrell Rd. at Exit 4, I-24. The property will open in early 2025.
  • A 587-space parking garage is under construction adjacent to the Roxy Regional Theatre downtown and is expected to open by summer.
  • boutique hotel with 85 rooms announced plans near the F&M Bank Arena. The property plans to break ground early in 2024 and open near the end of 2024 or early 2024.
  • A renovation to transform the Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St., into a 486-seat performing arts center is expected to begin in July 2024. 
  • Weakley House Museum, an addition to Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement, 4711 Weakley Rd. in Southside, will interpret the story of the site’s founders and open in April.
  • Old Abe’s Brew House, a new tavern with a locally known brewer, opened on New Year’s Eve at 2088 Lowe’s Dr.
  • Plans are slated to construct a distillery downtown on College St. with abundant green space and a 200-seat event venue.
  • Whataburger will open two additional locations on Madison St. and Fort Campbell Blvd. The restaurant chain’s first two Clarksville locations opened in late 2023.
  • Panda Express is expected to open a third Clarksville location this winter, this one downtown on Riverside Dr.

 

  • Bahama Buck’s Original Shaved Ice Company is opening a second Clarksville location at 2500 Madison St. in the spring.
  • Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is opening a Clarksville location at 894 Hwy 76 in Sango in January.
  • Miss Lucille's Cafe announced plans to expand its seating area into the former event space.
  • Mochas and Minis Indoor Play and Café announced plans to open a second location in January at 2325 Madison St. in Sango. The new center will feature an indoor treehouse, a kid-sized tiny town, and a separate baby area.
  • Pure Sweat + Float Studio will open a second Clarksville location offering an infrared sauna, float therapy, and cold plunge at 2234 Trenton Rd. in Winter 2024.
  • Swan Lake Golf Course, 581 Dunbar Cave Rd., is getting a kitchen remodel and new electric carts.
  • Smith Trahern Mansion, 101 McClure St., is being restored as a touring mansion. Exterior renovations are complete and indoor work has begun.
  • Construction of the Exit 8 Athletic Complex is expected to begin in early 2024. Amenities include multipurpose fields, pavilions, restrooms, and an Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant playground.
  • The Red River Pedestrian Bridge will connect the City's greenways, resulting in 11 miles of interconnected trails. This project is expected to be completed by December 2024.
